RUN and reach the Horizon!!

All of a sudden, Jakarta became comfortable and ideal overnight.

Yes. It's a holiday and it's a whole new sight. The streets are emptier, the commute of people are not as hectic, thus the amount of smug is down by perhaps a-gazillion percent (sorry for the exaguration) and the amount of daily trash is reduced to a pleasing amount. Is there such a thing a pleasing amount of garbage??

Oh yes! Bless the holidays!
It's our gift for being good boys-and-girls of this great city.

If I may propose to our kind president and governor, lets create more holidays - no matter how bougeous they might sound, so we can have more day-off and enjoy an extended amount of peace and comfort such as these past few days.

Such holidays like Happy Pets Day, or Animals Who Fought in Some War Day, or Anti Corruption Day (wait, that last one seems to exist. Perhaps for some sort of ceremonial formality). Garuda Bird Day or maybe Public Transportation Day sounds like a decent holiday.

Whatever the name or the occasion, I'm enjoying this temporarily-relaxed Jakarta. I might as well, cause I know it's not meant to last.

To think of it, nothing in life is everlasting.

That's what it teaches you. Enjoy what you currently have. Make use of the day-off you get. Take your time to explore beyond the ordinary, the routine. Routines are made to bore so that it will ignite some adventurous spirit in us. They are the seconds we count backwards towards the day we run and reach the horizon.

Secara mendadak, Jakarta menjadi nyaman dan ideal dalam semalam.

Sebuah hari libur dan Jakarta memiliki pemandangan baru! Jalanan menjadi lebih kosong, arus hilir-mudik tidak se-kisruh biasanya, sehingga jumlah asap dan polusi berkurang miliaran persen (maaf agak berlebihan) dan jumlah sampah pun berkurang menjadi angka yang memuaskan. Ada 'gak ya jumlah sampah yang memuaskan?

Ini merupakan hadiah kita yang telah menjadi anak-anak laki-laki dan perempuan yang baik di kota yang spektakuler.
